The Doors to Heaven are Always Open

For a school project in the spring of 2016, Natasha wrote this poem and created this painting.

I died of cancer but, I am not afraid.
I died of cancer but, I am not forgotten.
I died of cancer but, my heart didn’t stop.
I died of cancer but, I never left my family.
I died of cancer but, I only lost my earthly form.
I didn’t die of cancer I just went to live with you.
I didn’t die I only smiled as you held me in your holy arms.
I know I am safe and I know I’m home and,
I know exactly how I got here.
Because in you love and in your grace
To anyone, the doors of heaven are always open
